INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – For the third week in a row, the University of California at Berkeley earned the top spot in the USRowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association NCAA Division I Varsity Eight Coaches Poll. California garnered 22 of the 25 first-place votes to earn the No. 1 ranking. In the Division II poll, University of California at Davis was the unanimous selection for the fourth week in a row, while Williams College regained the top spot in the NCAA Division III Varsity Eight Coaches Poll.
In the Division I rankings, Washington ranked second, while Harvard University and Stanford University remained in third and fourth positions, respectively. Harvard and Stanford each garnered one first-place vote. Princeton University rounded out the top five.
In the Division II poll, UC-Davis was followed by Western Washington University and Florida Tech. In Division III, Williams College garnered four first-place votes to take over the top spot in the poll despite Ithaca College’s five first-place votes. Colby College moved into third position, while Wellesley College and Bates College moved into the top five.
